Become A Teaching Artist

Inspire. Create. Make an Impact.

The Rural Arts Collaborative (RAC) connects professional artists with rural schools to create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that inspire creativity, confidence, and connection.

As a Teaching Artist, you have the opportunity to bring your craft into the classroom—helping students discover new ways of thinking, expressing themselves, and engaging with the world around them.

Why Partner with RAC?

Make a Lasting Impact

Your work reaches beyond the studio. As a Teaching Artist, you help shape young minds, spark creativity, and open doors for students who may not otherwise have access to the arts.

Expand Your Creative Practice

Teaching in schools challenges you to think differently about your art—often leading to new ideas, perspectives, and growth in your own work.

Build Meaningful Connections

Collaborate with educators, connect with communities, and become part of a network of artists committed to making a difference in rural areas.

Professional Opportunities

RAC provides paid residency opportunities, allowing you to share your expertise while being supported in a structured, well-organized program.
